BBC2 will pay tribute to comedic Felix Dexter, who passed away in October following a battle with multiple myeloma, a form of bone cancer.
A 30-minute programme to honour the much loved comic will feature contributions from a wide range of his comedy colleagues, including stars of The Real McCoy, The Fast Show and Citizen Khan.
Paul Whitehouse, who worked alongside Dexter on The Fast Show said: “It’s great that the BBC are showing this tribute to Felix. He was brilliant, funny and challenging and deserves to be remembered as such, even though he was a Gooner.”
Mark Freeland, Controller, UK Comedy Production, added: “We’re proud at the BBC that we will be able to gather up all the love and goodwill towards Felix in this special and show what a fantastic comedy actor he was.”
The Felix Dexter tribute will air on BBC2 on Sunday 17 November at 10pm. Make sure you tune in and when you finish laughing, join the campaign to get the Real McCoy released on DVD.
