Ten reasons why you should visit Dubai

10 reasons to visit dubai

If you haven’t visited Dubai yet, you’re missing out on one of the most diverse and extravagant cities in the world. Situated along the coast of the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai houses seven million people who come from many different countries and have their own customs and traditions. This makes Dubai one of the most multicultural places in the world, not to mention a great place to visit! Here are ten reasons why you should travel to Dubai at least once in your lifetime!

The hotels

If you want to check out one of Dubai’s luxurious hotels and get a feel for what life is like behind a five-star door, there are plenty of great places to do so. The Burj Al Arab hotel (pictured above) is right on its own private island, offering fabulous views over downtown Dubai and unbeatable service. For something a little more low-key, try out Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, where professional butlers will cater for your every need.

Entertainment

With an ever-growing number of entertainment options, there’s something for everyone. In addition to a range of traditional and contemporary restaurants, Dubai is home to some of the biggest nightclubs and most lavish hotels in the world. As well as boasting some of Arabia’s most spectacular beaches.

Cuisine

Food in Dubai

The cuisine of Dubai is a melting pot of cultures. If you are looking for authentic Arabic food, several restaurants offer simple, traditional Arabic meals. If you prefer to eat like a local, then be sure to try out some falafel and shawarma. In addition to these flavourful dishes, many international cuisines are available, including Italian, French, and Indian.

Shopping

Where to shop, what to buy and how much to spend. When it comes to shopping, Dubai is your one-stop destination. Forget Paris’ cobbled streets or New York’s pulsating city life; The emirate offers some of the world’s most extravagant shopping experiences and has several unmissable free museums if you have even a remote interest in culture or history.

Adventure activities

If you are looking for an adventure, then you must visit Dubai. There are so many places that offer a different type of adventure, whether it is skydiving, snorkelling or anything else. If you love exploring your surroundings and trying out new things, then there is no better place than Dubai to be! The city offers all kinds of adventures from water sports to horse riding and much more. There is something for everyone here.

Natural beauty

From sand dunes to snow-capped mountains, these are just a few of the natural beauty spots found within UAE borders. Discover your perfect getaway within UAE, whether you’re into water sports or want to take picturesque mountain walks.

Wildlife viewing opportunities

One of few cities where you can see an ocean sunrise while watching a herd of camels grazing along Jumeirah Beach. An authentic nature-meets-man experience. It’s worth adding to your bucket list. After all, who doesn’t want to wake up to views like these?

Arabic culture

With its ancient architecture, breathtaking mountains, and rich history, it’s no wonder that many travellers flock to Dubai for a taste of Arab culture. While you’re there, don’t miss out on these experiences.

Travel with your family

While visiting a new city can be exciting, it’s important to consider whether you’ll have fun with your family. Many people aren’t fond of spending time with their relatives, so if that sounds like you, choose a place to visit by yourself or with your significant other instead. Alternatively, Dubai is also an excellent destination for couples and solo travellers since it offers plenty of entertainment options for everyone.

Cheap flights and proximity to many other destinations

Did you know that flying from New York to Dubai costs as little as £388 from London? And that you can visit Paris, Rome, and Istanbul on a round-trip ticket for less than £900? Flights to other Middle Eastern destinations like Amman, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh are similarly affordable. The World Bank ranked Dubai third in its 2015 Logistics Performance Index—which looked at supply chain efficiency—and Emirates Airlines was voted the best airline for customer satisfaction by Skytrax four years running.

Sounds good?

Just keep in mind that Dubai has more conservative laws than any Western country and you should make sure you are aware of them.
